Technology is moving very fast

In the very far past people used crude methods to lock their doors at night. In the cave man time I am certain they rolled a big stone in front of their #door and manged to keep predators out. As time went forward so did the science of #securing your property. In ancient Egypt  they used intricate gear boxes and gear wheels that would lock rooms with rolling blocks of granite in front of the doors. Some of the systems used by the Egyptians were very complicated. Following the Egyptians the Aztecs and Mayans also used complicated maze type of puzzle pieces in order to secure rooms.
As far as History the Italians under the Roman Empire and also the Spanish created the first lockable lock with a key and installed it on a door.
Fast forward to today you will still find technology that was used in the past. For example the mortise lock which is used in 99% of the apartment doors is a copy of the skeleton key lock which was originally made in Spain, England, Italy, Germany and most other European countries. Today we have Medeco, Mul-t-lock and many other advanced systems, even though they can't surpass the security of the good old bit key locks. Recently there has been a shift into the usage of digital locks. In Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan most commercial and some residential clients are starting to use digital locks.

Emergency Locksmith prices Today

Today everything from milk to vegetables has gone up in prices do to inflation and other factors. Just like everything else the labor and hardware industry has also increased in price. For example a cylinder change in the year 1996 on average was about $69 and now when a #Locksmith comes to your location and installs a cylinder your expected to pay almost $125. On average ranges from $95-125. There are still #locksmiths in the industry that still charge almost close to old day prices. #Admiral locksmith, #Joseph #locksmith, #Abbaslocksmith and #Whiteslocksmith. These #Locksmith companies still charge on average 25 percent less then all other #locksmiths in the market.
When someone is locked out they usually google #locksmith near me and usually get about five to six listings of companies that are not even near them but because they advertise with Google and pay the big money they end up in your house. These companies are usually dispatch services and usually have contracted locksmiths who work on commission doing their jobs. These companies will usually over charge customers by up to 95percent. So if a service cost you $95 with a local store front locksmith these companies will charge you $185.
When you have a locksmith emergency all you have to do is check the technicians credentials such as their locksmith license and make sure they will give you a company receipt with the company's name address phone number and most important license number.

Locksmiths do more then just keys

Today when someone says they are a locksmith, they should be able to fix, install, make locks, make keys for cars, open safes, install doors, repair frames and install window gates. With advances in technology a Locksmith should also be able to work with low voltage electronic systems such as intercoms, electric strikes and magnetic locks. The locksmith field of work has grown over the past decade and currently a person with knowledge of the above mentioned skills is a great asset to a locksmith company.
Abbaslocksmith in Queens is a dedicated locksmith company working to grow with the current trend in locks and technology. Also today the way a locksmith is hired has also changed dramatically. In the past a locksmith company would advertise either in the yellow pages or Verizon and be able to get leads. Today it's all Google and if a company doesn't have personal who can navigate the field the Internet then they loose a huge amount of unfounded wealth.
